Pesaro has some unique features.
Its position, at the northernmost point of the Marches region, the first promontory plunging directly into the Adriatic sea.
The natural oasis of the San Bartolo park.
The closeness of the town centre to the beach, making town life easy whether one travels on foot or by bicycle.
The town’s important historic and artistic heritage: libraries, museums like the Art Gallery and Rossini's House, theatres, churches and noble villas, but also new cultural centres like the Centro Arti Visive Pescheria and the San Giovanni multi-medial library.
Pesaro can offer different types of hospitality to suit all needs: the town offers visitors the choice of 65 hotels, eight of them are four star, situated either by the sea, in the town centre or in the hills. There are over forty restaurants and pizzerias in the centre and as many again by the sea; there is no shortage of restaurants, agriturismo and other places to eat in the lovely surroundings of the town, boasting many beauty spots. For beach lovers, and ours has won a “Bandiera Blu” prize, there are 50 fully-equipped bathing establishments.
