Concerto Tre strumenti per Rossini

On Saturday 23rd November at 7pm, the Teatro Rossini will host a concert of rare Rossini paraphrases for harp, horn and piano. Paola Perrucci (harp), Elisa Bognetti (natural horn) and Carlo Mazzoli (piano) will perform in an evening not to be missed. All the details for attending the concert will be available soon.

Rossini’s disruptive musical genius prompted almost all of his contemporary composers to transcribe arias from his operas for chamber ensembles or solo instruments. Paraphrases for the harp, in duo with the natural horn or with the piano, in particular, represent a still unexplored field, especially in the use of the instruments of the time.
