Educational
The didactic project Crescendo per Rossini, now in its 14th year, came to an end with the presence of around 700 students from schools of all levels in the provinces of Pesaro and Urbino, guests of the Pesaro prison and of the day care centre La Sorgente di Lucrezia, at the dress rehearsal of Il barbiere di Siviglia in the Vitrifrigo Arena.
For the 2023-2024 school year, a PCTO project (Percorsi per le competenze trasversali e l’orientamento – Paths for Transversal Competences and Orientation) was also launched in August for pupils of the Liceo ‘Terenzio Mamiani’ of Pesaro, in collaboration with the Rossini Opera Festival, as part of the 2024 review.
The participating students (Sara Angelucci from 4B Classical and Caterina Ciacci from 5C Classical) were involved in the ROF Digital project, an experimental initiative carried out by the Rossini Opera Festival in collaboration with the CTE – Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti (a project of the Municipality of Pesaro and MIMIT), to experiment with new technologies for the enjoyment of cultural content through 5G.
The 5G recordings of 360° videos of the concerts from the balcony of Casa Rossini and the video “Dreaming Rossini”, a 360° immersive content with a strong emotional impact dedicated to Gioachino Rossini (realised by Rainbow CGI and R.O.F. with the support of Sinergia EPC), were played through virtual reality goggles at each performance of the Festival. The students were invited to interact with the public in the foyers of the three theatres (Vitrifrigo Arena, Teatro Rossini and Auditorium Scavolini) and to carry out promotional and assistance activities with the VR headsets to ensure the correct functioning of the equipment for the visitors; a workstation with two headsets was set up for each venue and event.
