From all over the world for the Accademia
There was an excellent feedback regarding auditions for the participation in the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” 2022, the permanent seminar dedicated to the study of the challenges linked to the Rossini style and bel canto interpretation, directed by Ernesto Palacio. The Accademia, following its well-tried formula, offers students and listeners lessons in vocal interpretation and acting, lectures on various subjects, masterclasses and meetings with artists engaged for the operas presented in the Rossini Opera Festival.
The aspiring students are 250, and come from 41 countries in the 5 continents: Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, South Korea, Croatia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Japan, Greece, Hong Kong, England, Iran, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Liban, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Syria, Spain, The U.S.A., South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the Ukraine and Venezuela.
During the course a number of students will be chosen to participate in the closing concert of the Accademia, scheduled for the 18th July; furthermore, a selected group of pupils will take part in performances of Il viaggio a Reims which will be staged on August 13 and 15 as part of the “Festival Giovane”, a very important part of the programme of the 43rd Rossini Opera Festival.
