The Accademia welcomes a new partner
The 34th edition of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, a permanent study seminar on vocal and dramaturgical issues related to the Rossini restitution and the development of the critical edition, opened this morning, July 4, with the announcement of the entry of an exceptional partner: the Foundation Meuccia Severi, created by the entrepreneur from Pesaro for the enhancement of the immense artistic heritage of its collections.
Carlo Grossi, president of the Meuccia Severi Foundation, stated: “The bond between Pesaro and culture is extremely strong and resilient, this bond has its roots in the past and looks to the future. The Board of the Meuccia Severi Foundation, in exploring the values and activities of the prestigious Accademia Rossiniana, has been able to recognize with admiration what the Rossini heritage has generated over the years, and how it is tirelessly promoting ever new lymph that finds concrete expression in young musical talents to conquer the major world stages. The Rossini Academy and the Meuccia Severi Foundation are the protagonists of the partnership that today sees the combination of territory-culture, young-talent, history-future”.
These are the words of the ROF President, Deputy Mayor Daniele Vimini: “The decision of the Meuccia Severi Foundation to support the Accademia Rossiniana is particularly significant, because it associates the name of a worthy citizen, patron of culture and capable of exporting quality Made in Italy in the world, to an institution such as the Rossini Opera Festival which, in turn, has universally spread the music of Rossini. The collaboration between cultural institutions in this case enhances the training activity of young talents that, from Pesaro, stand out every year the flight to the most important stages”.
The Accademia Rossiniana, directed by the Superintendent of the ROF Ernesto Palacio, offers until 16 July to students and listeners lessons in vocal interpretation, musicology and scenic art, themed lectures and master classes.
In addition to the lectures and master classes held by Ernesto Palacio with the musical coordination of Rubén Sánchez-Vieco and the collaboration of Luca Canonici as vocal coach, the program includes presentations by directors Hugo De Ana and Rosetta Cucchi, the director and singer Alfonso Antoniozzi, the musicologists Federico Agostinelli and Marco Beghelli (in collaboration with the Fondazione Rossini), the physiatrist Frank Musarra and the phoniatrician Franco Fussi.
