The programme of Salons Rossini
As an ideal tribute to the famous and lively Rossini Salons, a new series of three concerts will be organized by the Rossini Opera Festival together with the Municipalities of San Lorenzo in Campo, Gradara and San Costanzo and the Fondazione Rossini and entrusted to young singers from that important source of talent that is the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”.
The three concerts of this first edition of Salons Rossini will take place, in July, in three many precious stages in the province of Pesaro and Urbino: on Sunday July 24 at 9 pm at the Teatro Tiberini in San Lorenzo in Campo, birthplace of tenor Mario Tiberini, there will be a concert of arias from Rossini’s serious operas entitled “Languire ognor così!” ; on Wednesday, July 27 at 9 pm in the Courtyard of the Gradara Castle of Paolo and Francesca, narrated in Dante’s Divina Commedia as a symbol of love, you can enjoy a concert of Rossini duets called “Amor! (Possente nome!) ; and last but not least, in San Costanzo, on Sunday, July 31 at 9 p.m. in the Teatro della Concordia, you can enjoy a concert of arias from Rossini’s buffo operas entitled “Nella testa ho un campanello!”.
Each concert will be introduced by a short speech by the musicologist Andrea Parissi of the Fondazione Rossini. At the end of the evening, the public can enjoy a special “Rossini tasting”.
